I want to use Smartmove from Fortinet rules to Check Point R82 Provider DMS. Can I use current version of Smartmove? It says that support is only to version R81.20

It might only be using the R81.20 APIs (and R82 has a large number of new ones), but no reason it shouldn't work.

Official statement:

SmartMove is released as an open‑source tool and is not under active development or official support by Check Point. The last update to the tool was made several years ago.
While SmartMove may work with newer Check Point versions (for example, R82.x), this is not guaranteed. Users may encounter issues that require manual debugging or fixes
