Hi,

We have a customer with Harmony E87 for Windows, who is using an application on their Android device via USB cable.

All is well while they are disconnected from Remote Access, but as soon as they connect to corporate VPN, the USB connection is shut down (specifically, it loses its IP address).

Is there an easy resolution for this? (NB as the corporate firewall is managed by Smart-1 Cloud we don't have access to the Trac TTM)

Thanks,Jamie

When not on CP VPN:

Ethernet adapter usb-ndis:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device #2
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 02-3B-71-xx-xx-xx
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::89ef:9ba7:6ea7:f5d9%15(Preferred)
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.xx.135(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 03 February 2023 14:47:30
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 03 February 2023 15:47:30
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.xx.129
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.xx.129
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 1526872945
DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-2B-28-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-EB-CB
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.xx.129
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled

And when VPN connects:

Ethernet adapter usb-ndis:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device #2
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 02-3B-71-xx-xx-xx
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::89ef:9ba7:6ea7:f5d9%15(Preferred)
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 1526872945
DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-2B-28-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-EB-CB
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.xx.129
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled

I don't believe you need to edit this on the management, but rather on the gateway itself.
See: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk75221
TAC can assist if something needs to be edited in your Smart-1 Cloud instance.
