      <description>&lt;P&gt;2 common mistakes with fortigate and ipsec vpns are:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- You have to create a firewall rule for traffic passing through the tunnel, otherwise the tunnel won't come up.&lt;BR /&gt;- You have to create some route for the traffic thats supposed to pass through the tunnel, usually an interface route with the other encryption domain as destination and the vpn tunnel interface as the next hop interface.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This commands should show you why your tunnel doesn't work: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD49553" target="_blank"&gt;https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD49553&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
