Remote Access VPN keeps reconnecting

Hello everyone,

My workplace has Check Point VPN set up so I can tunnel in and remotely access my work desktop. However, recently when I tried to connect to the VPN on my PC, it stays connected for about 30-60 seconds and then keeps reconnecting but couldn't reconnect to my workplace network. Also, my PC's network essentially goes down after the VPN disconnects, and it won't come back up even when I shut it down via Task Manager. I have to restart my PC for my network to work normally.

Here are the things I've tried:

The symptoms started randomly after I updated my PC, so I tried rolling back my updates and repairing them.
Uninstalling and reinstalling all of my network drivers.
I tried to connect to the VPN with my personal laptop and phones, and they worked normally.
I tried using both E82.40 (the version my workplace instructions use) and E88 (the newest one).

I'm thinking this might be a driver malfunction, and I haven't tried reinstalling my Windows OS yet. Is there any other possible cause for this problem?

I would suggest to open SR# with CP TAC to get this resolved asap!

Is this full or split VPN tunnel? Maybe try delete/recreate vpn site as a test.

What version/build level of Windows?
I’d try E88.62, which should work with Windows 11 24H2:

Hello,
I have a question: does the Endpoint Security VPN agent save event logs locally on a host (for example, on Windows 10)?
I am having trouble connecting many VPN users, and I currently have no way to access my GW to check the root cause of the problem.
Perhaps local events on the end user's side could help us a little.

Yes, there is an option in the client to collect logs for Technical Support.
You can review those logs yourself.

Hello,
I am experiencing intermittent connection problems with users who are connected to the VPN service through the Endpoint Security VPN agent.
Is there a way to validate from the perspective of your Check Point FW whether the interface with the public IP address to which users connect is being “saturated”?

If it's a physical saturation, it will show up in the interface statistics.
If it's a performance issue with the gateway, data will need to be gathered to assess that.
In any case, I recommend starting a new thread with all the relevant details, including the exact behaviors seen by end users.

We had the same issue! Updating to e88.70 fixed the problem for us.
