Hi Experts -

We have recently deployed the Cloud Guard VNF in VeloCloud. Everything is fine and configured, however, just wanted to know if there by any means a provision to have ssh to the VNF directly.

Do you mean without connecting to the Edge as a Jump box?

connecting to the VNF directly from the internet?

Yes - the VNF does have the IP for our management connectivity. Can't we ssh directly to vnf?

You should be able to connect VIA ssh to the VNF GW in a similar way you can connect to the VCE.

Hi -

Thanks the SSH does work. its just that if there is any issue during the vnf creation intially, you have to manually enable the ssh by telnet from the edge to vnf as below:

You can connect to the VNF Console while it is booting by running from the Edge Console "telnet 127.0.0.1 4322”

set admin-access interface <name> access allow
set admin-access allowed-ip4-address any

However on any successful created vnf the ssh should already be enabled.
