Hi All,

I had trouble trying to connect to my secured network using SNX running on network mode using Internet explorer. Based on my testing it started working after I downgraded Java.

Non-working scenario: Java 8 update 131

Working scenario : Java 8 Update 121.

sk117065 - This article matches the symptom and solution is to downgrade JAVA. However sk113410 confirms that Internet explorer uses ActiveX and not Java.

There's again article sk96449 which says that at times Internet Explorer uses JAVA instead of ActiveX and this is fixed in R77.10 and we are running R77.30.

Since the information is bit contradicting and confusing, I would like to understand if Internet explorer uses Java or ActiveX. If JAVA since when, couldn't get any relevant document for this behavior
