GDPR compliance: Import control of personally identifiable information (PII) from EMM

SandBlast Mobile allows administrators to control the PII imported from EMM solutions to the SandBlast Mobile dashboard by configuring the “Import Personally Identifiable Information (PII)” section of the EMM configuration screen.

This functionality allows your company to control the type of PII stored within SandBlast Mobile, allowing organizations to comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other user privacy policies.

PII Control is configured in the Settings > Device Management > Setting > MDM service pop-up window.

If all entries are turned off, then the EMM device identifier will be used in the Device Owner field, in the form of “#@emm_vendor,” such as 3@xenmobile.mdm.

In order to reveal the device owner details, the SandBlast Mobile dashboard admin will need to copy the device identifier and search in the EMM console for that device.

Supported EMMs: VMware AirWatch, MobileIron Core, MobileIron Cloud, IBM MaaS360, Blackberry BES/UEM, and Citrix XenMobile
