topic Reducing Iphone storage issue in Off Topic

I feel like people are starting to think I am an Iphone expert (for whatever reason lol). Anyway, had person message me here on community asking me about the issue they have with their Iphone 17 where even with 1 TB storage, for some reason, they lost 150 GB without even them doing anything.

Funny enough, I know how to fix this, as I tried it before on my Iphone 13 and it did actually work. I dont know if the fact I had been using Iphone for 18 years now makes me an expert (definitely NOT haha), but in case anyone has this issue, below is how you fix it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/1ikflfd/how_to_properly_reduce_iphone_system_data_storage/

I know its a bit unconventional, but it works. One time, I even called Apple support to see what they will say, and of course (not shocking), even senior person said you need to format the phone.

Once I told them about this trick, they did not even know what to say.

Glad reddit exists lol
