Man, I sometimes even hate to tell this story, but I believe it truly reflects what you just said. Though little different subject, but still...I recall this. while ago, when I was in Bora Bora and was talking to this lady from USA and she was telling me why you wasting your money on travel insurance, I never buy that and I told her that was not smart in my opinion and then I find out next day she broke her leg at the beach and they charged her 10000$ at the hospital.

Proved 100% better be safe than sorry...or as they say, prevention, rather than reaction.

"I am learning new things that will result in bringing me happiness, freedom and purpose"

You will have to learn some new things. The first of which is reprogramming your brain with affirmations. Then you may have to learn new skills for your new job or some new daily routines that will contribute to your physical health.

True, Andy. Many times we focus only on performance and delivery and forget about our purpose and taking care of our health. I still catch myself forgetting these things quite often.

Not to sound like Dr Phil now (you can google him if you dont know who he is), but truth be told, without decent mental and physical health, one can have trillion $, would not really be able to enjoy it much.

Apologies if sharing these affirmations is sort of "cheesy", but I like to share one for each day from the book I mentioned initially "365 days of positive affirmations" by Nicole Lockhart.

Full title is 365 days of positive affirmations - A year of powerful daily inspiratinal thoughts for creating change in your life and attracting health, wealth, love, happiness, confidence and self-esteem.

I completely agree with you, and this topic is very relevant for those of us in the IT field. We are constantly overloaded with meetings and calls sometimes even late at night and we end up neglecting our health. And when the consequences show up, sometimes it’s already too late.
