Hello Melcu,

As far as I know, FCD does not restore the partitions, so you would be better off re-imaging the MHO#1.

However, whichever option you choose, restoring the “show configuration” will not be sufficient.
Instead, I recommend following the steps outlined for the RMA process: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk174202

Br,
Zolo

Hi Team,

Maestro Single Site, Dual MHO (175).

R81.20 -> upgrade to R82

Since the default /var/log was only 20G by mistake the lv_current partition was expanded + xfs_growfs so .. FUBAR MHO#1

There are basically 2 options:

MHO#1:

Option1: FCD back to R81.20

Option2: find a microusb adapter and re-image with ISO Morphic

In both cases the configuration is going to be lost and here's the question:

What will happen when the MHO#1 will come back but with no configuration. I am thinking unplugging all cables, FCD back to R81.20 and paste the "show configuration" back on the device. Connect cables, make sure everything's fine and resize the lv_log !

Option2: re-image with USB directly to R82 and paste the configuration.

Which one will be the easiest and not to break the cluster as it's running on 6 SGMs with 12 virtual systems !!!

Good evening / or morning or whatever 😞 I'm toast. 4am here 😞

So we went with option 2 to re-image the box but surprize: if you have the maestro export from R81.20 you cannot import it in R82.

So re-imaged R81.20 + same JHF, imported the Gaia config, imported the maestro config, activate the orch, check the md5 and call it a day.

If he only followed our resize procedure and not use the "linux resize" procedure!
