19200 SGM - large unallocated space

19200 Maestro gateways have a large unallocated space, meaning that after two hotfix installs, we have to follow the SK to increase partition space of lv_current, meaning going into maintenance mode. Any reason for that?

We checked with TAC and this is the only recommended approach. We've been discouraged to manually clear up the repositories.

It's normal, all appliances have a 32GB root partition. It shouldn't limit your hotfix installs like that, but it can limit large VSX installs. It's a great reason why not to put large files in your home folders.

A bigger root partition means bigger snapshots and bigger upgrade reserved required space, but the 32GB size can be irritating at times.
