Curious if this works in previous versions (e.g. R81.20).
Sounds like a bug in any case.

Hi CheckMates Members,

I am building a new single site Maestro setup with the following configuration:

- Two MHO-175 appliances
- Four 29100 appliances
- One Security Group
- VSX Gateway (legacy VSX)
- R82 Take 44

Maestro set is configured OK, licenses are installed and all looks OK. I can create virtual systems without any problems, install policies and make changes to the VS's as needed.

But when I want to get a list of the virtual systems with 'show virtual-system all' only VS0 is shown correctly.

vsx-gateway-s01-01:0>show virtual-system all

Virtual Systems List

VS ID

0 vsx-gateway
1 .xxx
2 .xxx
3 .xxx
4 .xxx
5 .xxx

Using 'vsx stat -v' shows the correct names and information about the installed policies.

When we use ' vsenv' in Expert mode and go to a VS, also the correct name is shown.

[Expert@vsx-gateway-s01-01:0]#vsenv 3

Context is set to Virtual Device <correct VS name> (ID 3).

I have checked the file /opt/CPsuite-R82/fw1/CTX/CTX000xx/conf/vsname for all VS's and the file ' vsname' shows the correct name. I already rebooted the whole system at once (not production at the moment) and this did not resolve the issue.

In gclish I can configure the VS's with items like bootp interfaces, OSPF en BGP, so is all looks cosmetic.
I have also checked a legacy VSX Cluster (non-Maestro) on R82 Take 44 and this is OK.

Customer has a second Maestro set (MHO-140 and two 9700 appliances) which was upgraded from R81.20 to R82 Take 44 and this Maestro set has the same issue after the upgrade. On R81.20 we could see the VS's when using 'show virtual-system all', on R82 we do not.

I have opened a TAC case, but I am limited sending site related information to TAC.
So I hope someone in the community has seen this before and can help me.

Regards,
Martijn

Hi,

Talked to @Anatoly and it seems to be a bug.

This issue was reproduced in QA and they are working on it. For now it looks cosmetic only>
Will get a bug ID I will share.

Martijn

Good Morning

We have the same issue here with the 3920 VSX legacy and updated to 82.10 take 464. Expert commands vsx stat -v shows all names. Any work around on the CLI mode ? . I assume that show virtual-system all is merely a script which shows the output of vsx stat -v in a more brief listing...

Best regards

Ed

I think R82.10 build 464 is aligned with R82 JHF take 43, so you might need to wait until the first jumbo for the fix to be included. I believe it should land later this month.
