How does CPUSE take the snapshot? Is the process different for VSX? I am running r77.30 if that makes a difference.

I always used this command to do the snapshot, "add snapshot VALUE desc VALUE"

How would I uninstall the older jumbo? Is there a specific command?

I always just installed the latest HF and never bothered to uninstall the old one.

I will admit, I don't know the underlying process CPUSE uses to do the snapshots, but assume its similar for gateway and VSX.

Note that when you install a newer jumbo hotfix, CPUSE will uninstall the older ones automatically.

But if you wanted to uninstall a hotfix, you would use the command installer uninstall.

See: Check Point Upgrade Service Engine (CPUSE) - Gaia Deployment Agent
