Hi Mates,

I'm tring to acces to Guidbedit but required a password it's right?

I am a S1C n00b but it's as designed as you are logging into the management database when using guidbedit. Or did i get you wrong?

Hi,

This is correct, guidbedit needs a password. same one you use for SmartConsole

It's strange because I have several CMAs and only this one requires a password

Yes this is the correct window. If you do not need a password how do you start the application and what does it look like? Is it already filled in?

I am confused by the management server address. 127.0.0.1 aka localhost? What did I miss?

This is how you do it. Open streamed smart console, then follow screenshots I attached, works 100%.

Oh my goodness, for years I've been creating a shortcut from the exe file in the programme directory to the desktop, and now I see that you can call up the stupid thing from the smartconsole, but thanks for pointing that out.

If you start guidbedit from Smart Console -> no pw

If you start from the .exe itself in the program dit -> pw required

This is your issue right? It think it is expected because you are already authenticated in SmartConsole, does not make sense to ask for authentication again.

Hey ragazzo,

As a test, I checked all 8 customers I have access to for S1C, NONE of them needed password to open guidbedit. I checked all of them from stream smart console and no issues at all, worked exact same way like screenshots I sent initially.

Do they all use the 'admin' user or do you have custom logins? Might also be related to permissions profiles.

I checked the CMA where it works, and I see that it is set to Primary Administration.
On the CMA where it does not work, it is also set to Primary Administration.
