Hi mates,
I was wondering what’s the best way to export a policy package in order to provide the client with a report of all rules with 0 hits, low hits, very permissive rules, and so on.
I noticed that from the Web SmartConsole you can do Actions > Export, but is there any other way besides this?

Thanks!

You can do the same from SmartConsole. Can you say what is missing from the current CSV file that is generated?

Yes, I did it from Web SmartConsole. Nothing is missing from the file, I was just wondering if there’s an alternative way, because the CSV export works but it would take me quite some time to clean it up before I can actually start working on it, that’s it.

Other that mentioned, there might be a couple of more ways to dig the info out.

1. The hit count info should still be extractable as described in sk135212

2. Compliance Blade can be leveraged as described here

3. There was a script posted by one of our champions, to export the hit counter details to an Excel file.

Hope this helps

Yes, I didn’t specify it before, but I believe it can’t be done from the S1C side since I see that management access is required, which I don’t have.
Thanks a lot!

At least the compliance blade option should be available for you.

You can export froom smart console or via sdsh (have to ask TAC)

cd $FWDFIR/scripts

[Expert@CP-MANAGEMENT:0]# ./web_api_show_package.sh
Script finished running successfully!
Result file location: show_package-2025-08-27_09-31-48.tar.gz
[Expert@CP-MANAGEMENT:0]#
