When you import the CA certificate, it must include all intermediates to ensure the full chain can be verified.

When uploading a new certificate with similar CN to the gateway via Smartconsole after selecting P12 file and correct password there is a certificate error can not upload file. When trying to manually install the P12 on a computer it is succesfully imported (private and public key) with same password.

Is this some kind of bug?

?

What is the CN for the certificate that’s there and what is the CN for the new certificate?
I suspect this may be related.
A TAC will probably be required here.

It seems that the local CA did not correctly generate the p12 file, perhaps it contained the CA certificate separate.

What I did is manually generate the p12 using the private key the public certificate and intermediate. The public certificate + intermediate CA should be combined first into a single certificate file, afterwards generating the p12 and that worked.

https://serverfault.com/questions/768773/converting-pem-to-pkcs12-using-intermediate-certificate
