Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused about how Global Properties work.
If I need to make a change in the Global Properties—for example, adjusting the TCP session timeout—for a specific gateway, and then I publish the changes, what happens when another administrator installs the policy on a different gateway? Will those changes be applied to that gateway as well?

Is there a way to make the change effective only for the gateway I'm targeting?
I hope my question makes sense.

Yes, this is for all gateways. Ususally, you do it for services: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk145452

Global Properties and Service definitions apply to all gateways managed by the domain.
If you want a different version of a service with a different timeout for a specific gateway, you’ll have to clone to service and use it in an Access Policy specific to the gateway in question.

Here is what I will say...ALWAYS be careful when changing anything there, because it will apply to all the firewalls.
