One thing I learned in the past is, though that would probably not apply here, say now that you are on R82, just be careful with future jumbo hotfixes install. What I mean is this...say if you install jumbo 10 and when next one comes out, just be careful NOT to delete anything referencing previous take, specially from one sub dir called LastTake, as that would prevent you from installing next jumbo when it comes out.

Just something to keep in mind.

Does these really take so much space you need to do this ? Especially on SMS i would be very carefull to only delete if CP tells me it is OK to do that. If you have a real size issue, better contact CP TAC and ask for guidance...

hi,

well, it uses quite a few gb of space. but i'm rather tidy and like to clean up everything i don't need anymore to keep things organized.

i just leave it as it is.

thanks
jeff

I agree with @G_W_Albrecht , specially when it comes to SMS. Btw, I had a conversation with guy from R&D recently, he just wanted to get my feedback on an upgrade processes and he told me they will eventually end up creating a script which would remove any unnecessary dirs/files AFTER any minor or major upgrade, which I think is FANTASTIC and would be welcome by probably everyone.
