Connecting Remote Gateway to SMS

Good Morning everyone, i hope you´re all ok!

Please i need your support.

I have a remote Checkpoint Gateway installed (Out of box) on the Desaster Recover site, and i need to manage centrally on the SMS in the HQ. These two sites are linked via L2 link. So, in this cenario what would be the best approach to connect the RGW to the SMS, Should i used the internet connection or use the connection on L2?

For resiliency purposes, you probably want to make it possible to manage via both.
This can be done with routing (use Internet facing IPs and route them via L2 if available).
