A loopback interface will not be able to communicate with the SMS, so policy install will not work. Only use of a loopback interface i know of is on SMS as a central licensing IP. Or is this a dreaded Management Haha deployment ?

Hello Community!

I am currently trying to find out if it would be possible to use a loopback interfaces IP as the address for the Gateway Objects in SmartConsole.

Background: The currently used interface/address for that will be removed due to a network change and there is no dedicated network for management. To not use an interface again that is also a transfer interface, we would like to create a Loopback address and use that for the cluster Objects.

Would that work or am I missing something here?
