I sorely lack support for linux command screen, is there a reason why this command is not available on Gaia ?

Very useful if you run commands that take long time like migrate_server.

(Yes, i know about nohup but it is not the same thing 🙂

Also, migrate_server uses gzip which is not multithreaded and this makes the process take much longer time.

pigz is available but not used ?

Why request that here, nobody will listen 😉 - the correct way is shown here: sk71840: How to submit a Request for Enhancement (RFE). After filling out and sending the form, you will receive a RFE# number you can forward your local CP SE with the request content.
