In Skyline, you will get each CPU's usage separately, along with the CPU type and interrupts.

You will get this data every 15 seconds for each VS.

Hi,

In the cpview tool, the CPU utilization of the individual CPU types (SND, CoreXL, OTHER) can be displayed as a "Avg Utilization" (CPU > Overview)

How can these total values be queried via SNMP? The individual CPUs can be queried via SNMP, but I haven't found a way to query the sum via SNMP

Can I also query the CPU type (SND, CoreXL, etc.) via SNMP?

Thanks!

Tom

fwInstancesCPUUsage - Current CPU usage percent

fwInstancesCPUTotal - OID to present the total CPU usage of all instances of the fw

With changes like Hyperflow which will make this more dynamic you may also want to investigate Skyline as a monitoring option moving forward.

Hey Chris,

As I understand it, skyline data is the same we see in cpview.

On VSX there is a large limitation, that with 10 Virtual Systems, you get metrics each 10 minutes - with 90 Virtual Systems, it is every 90 minutes, making it not useful for monitoring.

Is that something that can be overcome?

/Henrik
