Hi Community,

I'm pretty aware that there are different topic in which we talk about what happen when a license expires. All of the topics I have found it's not so clear what actually happens.

Let's have a scenario in which I have a cluster with

CPEBP-NGTX

CPCES-CO-STANDARDPRO

CPCES-CO-STANDARDPRO-ADD

CPSB-EVS-5-1Y

Plus and Ednpoint Security license (SKU: CPEP-C-1+350 CPSB-EP-FW+350 CPSB-SWB CPEP-SUBSCR CPSB-EP-ABOT+350 CPSB-EP-FRNC+350 CPSB-EP-ME+350 CPSB-EP-AM+350@...)

What happens if we don't renew the thos contracts?
Does the Firewall continue to work? policy installation ?
Does the Antivirus continue update the signtures?
Do we no longer just get IPS/Antivirus Signature updates?
What about the VPN blade on the endpoints ? The VPN connection will be still allowed ?
Are there like 30/60 days where service still works after expiration?

Many thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards

Dave

My understanding of this is as follows...when license expires, yes, firewalls will continue to work, but you wont be able to push policy or install any updates. The VPN will still be allowed, unless office mode / MAB license is expired as well. If I were you, I would get clear confirmation from Account services, just to be sure.

There are Blades that do not expire (you can see this on CLI using cplic print):

CPSB-FW Firewall

CPSB-ADNC Advanced Networking

CPSB-IA Identity Awareness

CPSB-VPN IPSec VPN

So Policy Install and S2S VPN should work as before. Other Blades like TP Blades or MAB will no longer work, and IPS will default to Core protections.

If you do not renew support, you are not entitled to download and install newer versions.
