Hi Guys

Next week I will be upgrading our management server from R80.20 to R81, this is running on vmware.

My question is, if the upgrade fails, what is the best way to restore the system to a previous state?

I will be taking a vmware level snapshot anyway, but what is best from a Checkpoint side? would I need to install R80.20 fresh and then import the snapshot?

If the upgrade fails, is part of the process for it to roll back automatically?

cheers

CPUSE takes a snapshot before executing the upgrade.
You should be able to simply revert to that snapshot.

Note that snapshots done at the VMware level should be done with the power OFF on the VM or you may end up with a corrupted snapshot.
