Hello good morning guys,

I have a GW r80.40 with two 10GB ports in bond1 connected a fiber cable to each different switch and if I use
High availability (active / backup) on the switches should you put the VLAN in access mode?

And if I use 802.3ad, should this be configured on the switches in LACP?

thanks a lot for your answers guys.

it is not a cluster HA

Greetings,

Check Point support differents methods for link agregattion (bondings). It's depend on your need and your topology.

Answering you, bond1 interface will have just one subnet? If yes, keep interface in access mode on switch side, else set trunk mode and set vlan id's according you wish.

About 802.3ad, certainly you must enable LACP on switch side if you wish to work in active/active configuration.

Alisson Lima
