Could you please answer me, do keys stored on checkpoints gateways and security management in ciphertext or plaintext format?

Also do all they integrate HSM module if not is the checkpoint is FIPS 140-2 compliant ?

All those are stored in crypto, of course. HSM is supported only for outbound TLS inspection.
