Hi.

Is it possible to increase the root partition (/) to an open sever Security Gateway ?

This is for an R80.30 VM running on ESX 6.5

I need this in order to install a jumbo hot fix... There is only 600 Mb available, and the jumbo says it needs 1 Gb on /opt folder.

Unfortunately, /opt folder is within / (root). Is not a File System

the supported way How to add hardware resources, such as log storage, to a VMware Virtual Machine running Gaia OS works too. But @PhoneBoy solution does not need an additional disk which will be smarter for expanding the root partition.
