Afaik from CP Engineers, it had been planned to make JT 80 GA - but the important fixes in JT 87 have changed the situation completely ! See the line:

Makes sense.

Although it would be prudent to have a GA fix for TCP SACK mitigation pretty soon.
I will try to procrastinate the issue and hope a GA release will come in the near future.

This i think is the reason - JT 80 without this TCP SACK mitigation HF included would be a bad GA version - so our next hope for Jumbo GA is JT 87 😉

Does anybody know the procedure for "blessing" a Jumbo/Take? (Making it GA)
Is it only internal testing and QA, or are they waiting for a set number of customers to install/test it?

I think we had this in the past with the ServerSmack/SegmentSmack which was first standalone then integrated. The main issue here is that R80.20 has been long time without GA HF, and a good deal of clients have issues where they're told to install an ongoing take, which they see as unstable/unfinished patches.

We see that all production environments are - at least a little - different, so a Jumbo HF with the title GA needs a broad installation base over a longer time as well as continued internal testing. "Very stable" seems more a feeling evolving over time 😊

Any Ongoing Jumbo Take can be history after one bug report, look here:
