General community posting questions

I have a few questions regarding posting in the Checkmates forum. I did not see a 'board usage' section so I am posting this here.

- does every post I make need to be approved?

- where can I go to see my posts pending approval?

- will requiring approval go away after I have X number of approved posts?

- is there a FAQ that could answer these questions?

There's an FAQ linked at the very top of the page.
While we don't publish the exact criteria for achieving a specific rank, I'm surprised that your posts are being moderated based on your current rank.
Mostly posts are moderated for newer users, which you clearly are not.
I've fixed this for you.
