topic Super Node Configuration and Anti-Malware Update Issue in Endpoint

Hi,

I'm currently working with a customer who has several offline servers, and I’ve set up a Super Node to allow these endpoints to download updates. Following SK171703, I’ve configured the Super Node on a server and pointed the offline endpoints to it for updates.

However, I’m facing two challenges:

Internet Access for Super Node
The Super Node server currently has full internet access for testing, but the customer requires it to operate with limited access. Could someone provide a comprehensive list of Check Point server URLs that the endpoint client needs to connect to for updates and signature downloads? This will help us configure the necessary exceptions.

Anti-Malware Update Failure
The clients connected to the Super Node are not receiving Anti-Malware updates. The error displayed is: "Failed to update anti-malware database." Has anyone encountered this issue before, or can you provide any troubleshooting steps?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for getting back to me!

I did some digging and shared SK116590 with the customer. I also came across SK83520, which might be helpful.

The client versions they’re running are 88.32 and 88.61. Any ideas on what we can do about the Anti-Malware Update Failure?

Appreciate your thoughts!

Cheers,
Riyas

Hi,

Do you have any suggestions on how to address the Anti-Malware Update Failure?

The error we're seeing is: "Failed to update anti-malware database."

Additionally, is there a way to view a daily report that shows which machines have successfully updated their malware databases and which have not?

Cheers,
Riyas
