Upgrade version 81.10 à la version 81.20 Check Point EDR Harmony endpoint same plateforme

Hello ,

I wanted your opinion and expertise on a problem.
Our customer has two check point solutions: Quantum firewall and Harmony Endpoint. Both are version 81.10. We use the same address to access both platforms. However, on the EDR side, we're having a few problems with certain PCs (the EDR has blocked the application because it's an old version of Chrome that's not up to date and presents the criteria for malware). To correct this anomaly, support suggested we upgrade the EDR version to 81.20. My questions are as follows:

1-will upgrading the Harmony Endpoint platform impact quantum firewalls?
2-do we have to upgrade both platforms to the same version (81.20)?
3- is there a way to separate the EDR and firewall platforms (with two different ip addresses)?

Hi @Niokhobaye

To use the same machine (VM) for Harmony and Firewall Management is not a lucky solution.

Q1: If the FW MGMT and harmony MGMT is the same machine, xou can't separae the upgrade. Both will be upgraded

Q2: You mean that, the gateways and the MGMT must be on the same version? No, the rule of thumb is that, the MGMT must be higher than the gateways

Q3:Yes it it possible, but not a trivial task. This would worth a new topic 🙂
