I suspect it simply means the probe cannot be IPv6 based in this context

Hey guys,

in the Harmony Endpoint Guide there is a Chapter for Connection Awareness:

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81.10/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81.10_HarmonyEndpointWebManagement_AdminGuide/Topics-HEPWM-R81.10/Connection-Awareness.htm

[...] Alternatively, the administrator can configure the client's connection status by checking its connectivity to a different network component, for example, a web server or a router, through ICMP packets or HTTP/HTTPS/IPv4 requests. [...]

What is meant with IPv4 requests in this case? What is the client doing?

Best regards

Something based on IPv4. Configure is the wrong word here - you do a check if client connection status is Connected or connection status is Disconnected.
