Endpoint Security Client E80.83 Shortcut Issue

Hello,

I'm working with E80.83 version and it is working just fine.

The thing is I would like to use a shortcut (on desktop or start menu) to launch the VPN connection.

It was working on E80.62 but not anymore.

The shortcut target in E80.62 was "C:/Program Files (x86)/Checkpoint/Endpoint Connect/TrGUI.exe" startmenu

When in E80.83, the TrGUI.exe is in "C:/Program Files (x86)/Checkpoint/Endpoint Security/Endpoint Connect/TrGUI.exe"

I tried to use the TrGUI.exe but nothing happens.

Is there something I can do to have a shortcut working.

Is it still possible to have a shortcut with this version ?

Hi Romain,

According to the paths you specified in E80.62 you used the Endpoint VPN standalone client and in E80.83 you use the Endpoint Security full suite. In the standalone client there is an option to create a shortcut to the VPN gui but in the full client there is a gui to the Endpoint client and there is not option to run the VPN ui separately.

Would you know if there is a way to have a shortcut for the GUI Endpoint client ?

Hi Romain,

A shortcut for trgui.exe won't work with EPS but I have another suggestion.

Using the a CLI command:

c:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\Endpoint Connect>trac connectgui

You can create a shortcut to "trac.exe connectgui"
