Remote Access VPN not installed

Hi,

Within the context of Harmony Endpoint we also deploy Endpoint Connect (Remove Access VPN blade).
I've encountered one case where a deployment package with the blade included installed normally, however Endpoint Connect never installed.

To remedy this, we've attempted to add it after the fact through deployment policy, but that hadn't helped either.

Where CPInfo could I find logs that may produce some sort of installation error I could reference through the knowledge base?

The client version is E86.01.1005

Hi,

Just to clarify things, this post was a bit of a mistake on our end; the PC we were attempting to install the Endpoint client with RAVPN was running Windows Server 2019; an operating system where the VPN client isn't officially supported. Hence the installation never occurred as the agent performs a compatibility check at the start and doesn't install components which should not be installed.

Though curiously, the standalone VPN client without Threat Prevention capabilities installs and works just fine with Windows Server 🙂

What if We need to install VPN Blade to Windows Server? Of course we know that is not an officially supported. How to install unsupported configuration?

Current Win EPS client version E87.20 according to sk117536: Endpoint Security Homepage supports the following OSs:

Supported OS - Workstations	Microsoft Windows: 7, 8.1.1, 10 (versions 1607, 1709, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909, 2004, 2009, 2103, 21H2, 22H2), 11 (versions 21H2, 22H2)
Supported OS - Servers	Microsoft Windows Server: 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022

Windows Server is supported for a subset of features, eg for Server 2022 it supports Compliance, Anti-Malware, Firewall, Application Control, Forensics, Anti-Ransomware, Anti-Bot, Threat Emulation, Capsule Docs (Standalone Client), Media Encryption and Port Protection. Details are in the release notes.

If you need VPN on Server please raise an RFE.

Sorry, my mistake - no supported VPN on Windows Server 2019 ! Good that Endpoint VPN works 8)
