Hello Everyone,

We are experiencing issues while imaging via SCCM.

Here is our environment details:
SCCM 2103 current hotfix; CPEP 86.00.0007 (desktop and laptop no FDE); Window 10 20H2 Enterprise

Here is the scenario:
PXE boot imaging via SCCM in house; Endpoint installs normally
Imaging via offline task sequence media USB stick with LAN connected for domain join; Endpoint installs normally
Imaging via offline task sequence media USB stick without LAN connected; Endpoint fails to install

If this is the case, is it possible that there is a MSI switch to prevent this?

Is there a list of all MSI switches posted somewhere? I was unable to find anything.

Prevent what exactly, failing to install correctly when there is no network connected?
I believe LAN connectivity is required to perform the initial installation.

Is there a way to prevent the need for LAN connectivity?

Also, is there a list published anywhere of the accepted MSI switches?

I looked through the PROPERTY table of the MSI and there is nothing that stands out as being able to disable net connection requirement or checking for net connection during install

The client must register to the Endpoint Management server as part of the installation.
Pretty sure that is a mandatory requirement, though it’s possible the TAC has an idea how to do an entirely offline install.

So here's the odd thing;

On model A with no network; it fails during SCCM install
On model B with no network; it completes during SCCM install
There is no difference in the task sequence or the MSI or the MSI string; works on one, fails on another.

On model A with no network; logging in and double clicking the MSI; it installs fine

I recommend a TAC case to assist with this.
