setup has failed on a Mac os big sur,

where i can find the installation logs on mac os for a basic troubleshooting?

Hi,

i'll try to install e85.30 on big sur but i got an "installation failed" and i want to check the installation logs to get more info about that.

I am not sure there are those logs. Refer to sk174663 for actual client binaries (there are 3 different clients with this version), limitations and release notes.

i saw sk136592 for example and it talks about logs but don't tells the path of them. every setup creates a install log but i didn't found anything about it...

Those are system log messages: https://support.apple.com/guide/console/log-messages-cnsl1012/1.1/mac/11.0

Another option is, open Console app and choose Log Reports. Sort them by latest, and try re-installing. The relevant log file should appear on top of the list

I have checked with experts, and the installation messages are going into /var/log/install.log. You can look into it directly or via Console app, as already mentioned
