Hello,

we use Endpoint Security VPN (version E88.70) on our Windows laptops. A few weeks before certificate expiration, there is a popup explaining certificate will expire in xx days. Do you know what is the default numbers of days before showing this message and is it possible to configure it?

Thank you.

Brice

Good question!
I’m interested to know whether there’s an option to configure or suppress it.

If you’re using a Microsoft Enterprise CA with properly configured certificate templates, the renewal process should handle this automatically. However, the popup might confuse or unsettle the user.

Thank you! We used smart card with certificates to connect VPN. Renewal is not automatic and this popup is usefull to remind renewal before expiration. Nevertheless it's a little bit too short and we would like to increase it.

Understood — I experienced the same issue years ago with Aladdin eTokens.
Back then, VPN notifications weren’t available, so we monitored the status through our Microsoft CA.

Still, I’m interested in receiving an official response.

Hello,

I have an information about it from TAC. You can not change because this is hard-coded. Only disable or enable options is possible.

From Tac:

"However, unfortunately, the error message you receive because the expiry of the certificate is in 60 days is basically hard-coded and cannot be changed - at least we don't support it."
