topic Checkpoint EDR - Easytransfer in Endpoint

I’m migrating data with Windows Easy Transfer from an old PC that still has Check Point Harmony EDR installed, and every time the tool hits the folder C:\HarmonyBackup—whose owner is SYSTEM—it throws a read-error and then spends ages cycling through its error-correction phase. I don’t want to uninstall or disable the EDR on the source machine, but because the folder’s permissions are locked to SYSTEM, even Administrators can’t access it directly. Is there any way to exclude C:\HarmonyBackup from the migration, or to copy it successfully (for example, in backup mode) without removing or disabling the EDR?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thank you!

Personally, I would open TAC case for that. I remember while ago customer finding some method online for things like this and needless to say, it did not end well, since it was not an official CP process.

Best,

Harmony Endpoint employs several self-protection mechanisms.
Whether they can be disabled without uninstalling is a question for TAC.
