We're using the Grid Import script more or less modified in production with two customers and it works well so we have some experience here. If you have specific questions I would be glad to help.

We are on the way for a new project getting objects (networks, host etc.) from "Infoblox DDI" into SMS. Any experience, any suggestions here ? I saw Infoblox Grid Import for one special use case, this will be a good start @dj0Nz

Funny enough, we had an integration with Infoblox at some point: https://www.checkpoint.com/downloads/partners/checkpoint-infoblox-solution-brief.pdf
However, this appears to be Threat Prevention focused.

If I'm understanding what @dj0Nz is doing in the script, the data is being read from Infoblox and is being written to our Management API with some minimal error checking.
That seems like the most reasonable approach here and is certainly possible with APIs and appropriate scripting.
If you want to keep this data in sync, that's also feasible, but further development is clearly required.

If there are other specific use cases, they may or may not be possible depending on available APIs.

Thanks @PhoneBoy . I see Infoblox Integration with Checkpoint NGFW , quiet older from 2019. I‘ll contact the Infoblox guys, maybe something will be available.

It looks like this is a standard Management API integration, which should still work (assuming they make properly "versioned" calls).
