Hi Mates,

we're searching trough the GAIA API Reference and cannot find the option to get the device serial number information.
Can someone point us into the right direction?

Cheers,
David

thx for the quick answer 🙂

Short info why we need it: company starts with full asset management so we need a key identifier for each device. Usually thats the serial number. Now initially we want to feed that asset management via API with all relevant data.

I found in the product list via product center that there is a Serial Number and the KEY you mentioned.
Also via "cpstat os" the appliance serial number shows up.

If serial number does not show up via API we will use the output from the product center.
So we're quite safe for Quantum and Quantum Spark 🙂 .
Any idea what we should use for our CloudGuard-"Appliances" - they do not have the mgmt Interface or Appliance serial number.

We had TAC opened last year for this and they could not find the answer either. Its easy via clish, but does not appear there was a way to get it through API.

Okay, got it. For regular Gaia, you can use the "run-script" API command with "cpstat os".

For Spark appliances, there is a "show diag" command that should be executed from clish, which also shows the serial number. Not sure about API capabilities of Embedded Gaia thought.
