GAIA REST API err_login_failed_wrong_username_or_password

Hello CP Fellows!

Got a rather strange issue and just want to clarify this..

I'm running a lab at the moment on VMware Workstation 16 pro.

I'm able to login and POST commands with originally created (when setting up GW) but when I try to create a new user and login to run the same API command it fails with "err_login_failed_wrong_username_or_password" message. I'm creating new user on the GW level. Not sure if this is VM fault or I'm doing something wrong here? Do I need to explicitly define an API user?

What version of the API?
You can update to the latest here: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?action=portlets.SearchResultMainAction&eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk143612

You must explicitly permit users to use the GAiA API. Check out 'gaia_api --help' for the syntax to let new users use it.
