    <description>&lt;P&gt;It would be interesting if at the API level if it actually creates a new rule when you move it to the inline layer.&lt;BR /&gt;A new rule UID would confirm that.&lt;BR /&gt;If that’s the case, you have your answer: just recreate the rule in the new location.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>API call to move a rule from one layer to another?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In SmartConsole, I can drag a rule and drop it inside an inline layer.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I tried to write an API call to take a rule from one layer and put it at the top of a layer, but the management server responded that it couldn't find the object &amp;lt;destination layer's UUID&amp;gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Is there a way with the API to move a rule from one layer to another? I can just copy it, but I would prefer to move.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
