Python tool for importing/exporting

Hi all

Fairly new to this tool and just wondering what I might be missing.

Downloaded the appropriate SDK and ExportImportPolicyPackage from GIT. Maybe I am missing something, but seems like the newline function in utils.py is causing me issues while exporting. Just checking to see if it's a problem/config item I am missing.

On a Checkpoint Open Server, R80.30, Python 2.7.14.

I am able to get around it by using the previous version's , "wb" (lines 106,244,258) but I suspect that is not really an ideal solution.

To be honest I really do not do much in the way of python scripting so not sure what that does other than "write binary".

Any ideas?

I know there are few guys here that are excellent in scripting, so hopefully they can help. I wish I was scripting expert, but cant lie, not even close to it : )

It looks like R&D is in the process of updating the code to support Python 3.7.
@chkp-royl any idea?
