API-call to get all objects of certain type

Hello,

I heard rumours of coming updates to the API and was wondering if anyone knows of any plans to add API-calls to get

all objects of a certain type?

I don´t think I am the only one who'd appreciate a simple way of getting all objects of a certain type in one call.

The API already allows this to a large degree based on object type, though if there are more than a certain number of results, you have to use multiple API calls.
A precise example of something not currently possible with the API would be helpful.

Sure, but instead of having to loop through 0-500, 501-999 etc it would be nice to get all in one call,

pretty much like a SQL-command, select * where type = host...

Ok, so you just want the API to return more results in a single call.
The reason these limits are in place is memory/performance considerations.
You can actually specify a higher limit than the default in the API call, but we don't guarantee all results will be returned when you do that.
