R80.x Policy to CSV file?

Is there a management CLI tool or script to export the policy and objekts to a CSV file?

I have only found something to objects here in the form but not to policys.

You can do both from the SmartConsole - Policy from the Rulebase and Objects from the Object Explorer

In sk120342: Exporting Check Point configuration from Security Management Server into readable format using "Show Package Tool" we read:

Exporting a rulebase using CSV format is available from the GUI:
Open SmartConsole and view the rulebase you wish to export. From the rulebase's toolbar select: 'Action > Export'.

I know about exporting from the Smart Console. But I need a script that does that and your link is a good starting point.

Hey Heiko,

Take a look at my thread regarding the exact same thing. The script which is linked there is quite old and does not use the Check Point Management API Python modules but instead relies directly on REST calls. It also mentions that it has been tested for R80 and R80.10 only - however it works for later versions as well. The script also has some issues which I have corrected and posted into the thread that I linked in the first place. If you are familiar with python basics it should be quite easy for you to get it up and running. If you need some advice feel free to ask. I'am currently using it within a R80.20 environment.

It does not work in version R80.30. Would you like to adjust the script so that it also works on R80.30?

Hi everyone, when i click on action, the export button is greyed out. Any idea about this? My current smart console version is 80.30 and 81. Thank you everyone?
