      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a few appliances in remote offices that are on R77.30.&amp;nbsp; What's method should I use to get them onto R80.10 that is least prone to failure?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-Jason&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Agree CPUSE is the way to go, just make sure it is using the latest DAService version (Build 1439) before starting the R80.10 upgrade to maximize your chances of success.&amp;nbsp; Upgrade of the DAService daemon will happen automatically if the gateway can reach the Internet, if it can't see&amp;nbsp;&lt;A class="" href="https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&amp;amp;solutionid=sk92449&amp;amp;partition=General&amp;amp;product=All%22" style="max-width: 840px;"&gt;sk92449: Check Point Upgrade Service Engine (CPUSE) - Gaia Deployment Agent&lt;/A&gt; to manually upgrade CPUSE/DAService via rpm first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also it never hurts to take a manual snapshot before commencing the upgrade, especially when crossing a major version boundary (i.e. R7X -&amp;gt;R8X).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;Second Edition of my "Max Power" Firewall Book&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Now Available at &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://www.maxpowerfirewalls.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.maxpowerfirewalls.com&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
