Smart-1 High Availability Migration

Hi Expert,

I have planning to migrate export-import from 77.30 to 80.40 with HA deployment. The Primary hostname is : CPTEST01 and the secondary hostname is : CPTEST03. My customer want to change the Secondary hostname in new smart-1 from CPTEST03 to CPTEST02. My question :

1. Migrate export-import is only on primary ?

2. What the impact if the hostname in the secondary smart-1 is different with existing smart-1 ?

Yes, you only perform a migrate export/import only on the primary.
You do a fresh install of the secondary and reconfigure the Management HA afterwords.
I don't believe the hostname will make a difference here.

one more question, can I migrate export/import from dedicated SmartEvent server 77.30 to non dedicated SmartEvent server (combine with Security management Server 80.40) ?

If yes, Plese share the reference

There are pretty significant differences between SmartEvent R77.30 and R80.40.
You can't really upgrade, only reinstall and reimport the old logs.

I would contact TAC as they could also help you during migration in a RAS...
