      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would like to know use the CPUSE in-place upgrade the MGMT server from R80.40 to R81.10 the log issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In best practice, I start to upgrade the MGMT will be stop the receive the gateway log, the gateway should be temporary storage the traffic log . Anyone know if I upgrade successful then the log will be auto recover from Gateway to MGMT server?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You have also the Log Forwarding options per Security Gateway:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class="tpbodytext"&gt;Logs can be automatically forwarded to the Security Management Server or Log Server, according to a schedule, or manually imported with the Remote File Management operation via CLI (fw fetchlogs). The management servers and log servers can also forward logs to other servers.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;100% yes. So what happens is this...while you are upgrading the mgmt, logs wont be coming to it, so gateway would be loging locally for the time being. Once mgmt is up and running after upgrade, logging will resume as per normal and you should be able to also see the logs that happened during the upgrade.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
