Hi,

Alerts from rulebase are mapped here. Menu (top corner) -> Global properties -> Log and Alert -> Alerts

You can use the following SK for helping you define the mail alert:

https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk25941

Hi all,

How should I set up alertmail in order to see to it that an alert mail is interactively fired when a certain policy hits with its track option MAIL?

My first thought is just specify destination information on GAiA Portal (System Management>Mail Notification), and

have track option of a policy set to Log, MAIL, only to find nothing sent.

For testing environment, I set up, on Alma Linux, Postfix/Dovecot server.

I am new to Linux system, but I did it somehow by myself, making it configured to accept smtp negotiation without authentication.

Thunderbird lies on the same server, and SMTP/POP3 works right with its log generated.

Judging from the generation of a log, I surmise those servers are functioning.

It is CP that I need some more configs to be done.

First things first, I would like to check my understanding about alertmail settings is right or wrong.

Next, your suggestion which file to look at in this circumstance is what I would love to hear,

which must be of my help to ameliorate my generic skills associated with linux commands/file systems.

I am sorry that I always ask a lot.

Thanks in advance! Cheers.

Saitoh

Appreciated!

Saitoh
