Yes, that's it and this is an extreme example and it' obvious, with the one I encountered it wasn't as there was nothing obviously split on the screen, just the buttons missing!

SmartConsole does not play nicely if you change the screen scale to anything above 100% in the windows display settings. There is nothing obvious but on certain screens it doesn't display the forms properly. (for example, Cluster properties, Identity Awareness, Identity Agent Settings, Authentication Settings, there is a little table listing the user directories, with Green/Red +/- buttons to the right side. If you have the screen scale above 100% these buttons will not be visible !!)

TAC's response was that this is a Windows issue, but I'm not sure I'd agree with this. With higher spec monitors and laptops becoming more normal, this is going to become a bigger issue. My laptop has a resolution of 2560x1600 (18" panel) which means the basic things are incredibly small on the screen, so the I adjust the scaling of the display to 125%. Whilst this makes things easier to read SmartConsole simply loses info from the forms!

Has anyone else noticed this at all? I'm sure it will only get worse as time goes on and higher resolution screens become more common!

Interesting phenomenon. I played around with the scaling on my device and looked at some of the windows mentioned, but I can't see this behavior on my side.
I have Windows 11 and my external displays are 32" with 2560 * 1440. Even with 175% scaling, I can see all elements.

Ooops, sorry. Forgotten. Now closed SC and after scaling to 200 % i opened it again.
And surprise. SC main window is scaled. Opening a gateway scaling is much different and then opening identiy agent settings scaling same as main window. And.......issue reproduced.
Strange thing.

edit says: SmartConsole R81.20.9700.659

Yeah, I use SmartConsole via an MSRDP session from a Mac with a high-DPI monitor. I've always had to turn off high DPI ("Optimize for Retina displays") for the MSRDP connection, or SmartConsole is unusable. I've reported it a few times, including as an RFE, but no improvement up through R82 build 1057.

These and similar issue are all related to legacy components that were migrated from R77.X SmartDashboard to R80 SmartConsole.

This is especially evident in complex legacy object like Security Gateway.

Significant work is currently underway - and will continue into the coming year - to bridge the gap between SmartConsole and Web SmartConsole, where such issues will no longer occur.
